Southwest Arkansas Regional Archives has unique or primary source archival materials dating back to the early 1800's. We serve as a central clearing house and repository for the preservation of records of the history of twelve counties in southwest Arkansas: Columbia, Hempstead, Howard, Lafayette, Little River, Miller, Nevada, Ouachita, Pike, Polk, Sevier, and Union. Until 1836, those counties were the edge of the frontier for the United States.

Copies of our files are $10.00 each for the first 20 pages. For files that have more than 20 pages there is an additional 50 cents per page charged. These prices cover the postage and taxes. (If you do not see the number of pages given in the inventory, email Gail.Martin@Arkansas.Gov or Peggy.Lloyd@Arkansas.Gov for more information.)
